Basement excavation & two-storey house extension in London
In this dramatic transformation of a small, shallow Victorian semi, we excavated part of the garden to make room for a two-storey extension made largely of floor-to-ceiling glass, and fully refurbished the house inside.

Keeping its heritage
We took down the rear wall and rebuilt the back of the house in traditional London stock brick. Inside, the house was refurbished from top to bottom, bringing a contemporary feel to a traditional envelope, with a steel staircase linking the new levels.
In touch with nature
Light pours in through the double-height void. Because the extension sits below ground, privacy is kept without losing any sense of space, and the glass looks out over a landscaped garden.

Throughout the house the interior has been rethought to feel contemporary yet traditional, creating a unique atmosphere in every room.
