Jewel Dream Homes managed and executed an entire refurbishment of this spacious house located on Maresfield Gardens within the exclusive Hampstead Heath.

Formerly a disused building in a conservation area, our client wanted a complete overhaul and extension. The Result: an award-winning seven-bedroom family home with 530 square metres of refurbished space, including a rear extension, roof terrace, two-storey side extension and loft conversion. The project also included a rear contemporary Yoga and Gym studio outfitted with bi-folding doors to open up the space.
A new helical staircase which runs across the four-stories, filled with ceiling windows to flood the hallway with natural light. Upon completion of the house, we constructed a new garden-room, highly engineered structure that floats under the tree canopy on a concrete raft 200mm thick.
From a rundown old building to new open-plan common areas filled with natural light. The interior walls between the rooms and orientating towards the outdoors being a free-flowing layout for eating, living and entertainment. New spaces include an enlarged kitchen-dining room, lower ground playroom, luxurious master suite and a full two-storey children’s living space incorporating into the converted loft.
The Yoga studio exposed concrete walls were cast in situ and board-marked using meranti that matched the new garden fence. The wood was then recycled to form a flexible ceiling under the thin steel roof that cantilevers over the fully openable sliding corner glazing. The copper roof gives the studio a refined elegance making it the perfect place to relax peacefully.
